Join us for a performance screening session on Thursday 1 December at 18–19.30h with artist Marina Dubia (BR). The event is part of the performance project Flooding In for which, over the next six months, Dubia will work her way into O—Overgaden’s DNA and out onto the streets of Christianshavn.
As part of her research process, Dubia collects publicly available recordings of performance and dance pieces. This Thursday Dubia will present a screening session followed by a discussion dedicated to art in public space. The screening will also featur short films by artists Francis Alÿs (BE) and Eleonora Fabião (BR). Together they offer contrasting attitudes as of how to gather a crowd and tear the mundane rhythm of the urban landscape.
The event is part of Dubia’s performance project Flooding In. From November 2022 to June 2023, Dubia will carry out a series of performative interactions and workshops in and around O—Overgaden, with the aim of engaging the local community and examining the physical boundaries that separate the institution from the outside world.
Popcorn and juice will be served, the entry is free and everyone is welcome!
